IVAN
In keeping with the theme around here for what seems like the entire end of summer.
We have been treated to Hurricane Charly, then Hurrican Frances, and if they werent fun enough. Here comes Hurricane Ivan.

Fortunately it appears Ivan has spared South Florida but our friends in the panhandle werent quite so lucky!
Heres some pictures of the devastation following in Ivan's wake

South Florida was fortunate to be spared.

Hurricane Frances

I should probably say something about Hurricane Frances since it was such a major event down here in my home state. Hard to make light of something which has caused so much anguish for so many.

However that is what I do, I make light of everything.

While others were evacuating, and protecting their homes, I was off hitting the surf.
While the town was deserted, I was going around filming.

All in all it was scary yet fun.

Although to be honest Miami Dade was spared the brunt of Hurricane Frances as we only got a small taste of her wrath. So it could have been worse. Still there was lots of damage to see!

I documented Hurricane Frances in Video Format and instead of talking too much about it here, just tell you to be on the lookout for my short film on the subject.

Which if it adheres to my rigorous schedule, then it may be available for viewing sometime around 2010...

The following image is a long range radar picture just as Hurricane Frances was introducing herself to the folks in S. Florida.
