Meanne Jeanne--REVISITED

Was originally published on Sept. 28, but I didnt upload the picture until recently - so I am reprising the story here with the picture!!

Another Hurricane for South Florida!!
Oh yeah, Meanne Jeanne threw everyone a curve, as she swept past Florida,
then did an abrupt U-Turn in the Atlantic and headed due west right to Florida!
Its as if Florida has some sort of Hurricane Magnetism this year, even when they miss us.

Yeah here she is Meanne Jeanne - headed out into the Atlantic where she made a complete stop - reversed and headed straight for South Florida. As if to say "you thought I forgot about you??"

Oddly its October

The days and months are streaming by! Its October already and only 3 more months left in 2004! Unbelieveable.

Recent notables: Despite a hectic hurricane season - I have not only survived, but actually fared quite well. The only real damage I suffered was big gash on the fender of my car from some floating debris. I had as much damage done yesterday as some metal plate was getting kicked around on the highway at about 70 mph. It bounced right in front of my car, and there was NO WAY to avoid it, sandwiched in heavy traffic all travelling at high speeds, swirveing would have been bad. No instead I saw this bouncing square piece of metal standing perpendicuar to the road rolling at me like some kind of demented circular saw blade with a mind of its own.
It first struck the front bumper of the car where it took a nice chunk out, It bounced off ahead of the vehicle only to deflect toward the drivers side where it made contact yet again. I held the vehicle straight on course, as it continued its saw like assault on the other oncoming traffic. Like a miniature hurricane, circulating, fueled by the wind and energy of the oncoming traffic I could see it in the rear view mirror riccocet from one car to the next.

Damage wasn't as bad as it sounded upon impact, as it only took a chunk out of the front plastic over the bumper and a small scrape on the front fender, right next to the damage done by Hurricane Frances.

So in light of all the damage other folks suffered,
I consider myself to be very fortunate.
If you consider getting attacked by a rogue circular sawblade fortunate!
